Frontend React Developer

We are seeking a Senior Front End Developer to lead the rewrite of existing front-end applications using a new enterprise design system. This is a hands‑on, developer‑focused role where you will be responsible for implementing, coding, and scaling design system components across a core system. The project officially kicks off next month and will run through the end of the year, with potential for conversion to full‑time based on mutual fit.

• Rewrite existing front‑end applications to align with a newly defined design system
• Build, implement, and maintain reusable, scalable React components
• Translate design system specifications into high‑quality, functional UI code
• Own front‑end implementation end‑to‑end, operating as the senior engineer on the project
• Collaborate closely with a core engineering team, as well as Product and Design partners
• Ensure consistency, performance, accessibility, and maintainability across the UI
• Contribute to front‑end architecture decisions and best practices

• Work as part of a tightly knit core team
• Regular collaboration with Product Managers and Designers
• Partner closely with Design to ensure accurate and scalable implementation of the design system

• Strong, hands‑on experience with React
• Proven experience building and implementing design systems (component libraries, tokens, patterns)
• Experience working with enterprise‑level design systems strongly preferred
• Developer‑first mindset with a heavy emphasis on coding and implementation
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of front‑end delivery
• Startup‑only experience may not be sufficient for this role
• Nice to have:
  Ruby experience
• Healthcare industry experience is not required
