Automation Engineer

Job Description Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks in Java using Selenium Web Driver, TestNG, and Cucumber.
• Build reusable Java components for automation.
• Collaborate with PEGA developers to understand rule sets, case types, and UI elements for effective automation targeting.
• Integrate Java-based automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
• Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing across PEGA portals and web applications.
• Use Java to interact with REST APIs, validate responses, and automate backend workflows.
• Maintain test data, environment configurations, and execution logs using Java utilities and libraries.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and defect triage.

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in automation with Selenium and Java.
• Experienced in test strategy, scripting, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Strong coding skills, API testing, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong Java programming skills with experience in object‑oriented design and modular architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Maven.
• Familiarity with UI and database automation, including XPath strategies and dynamic element handling.
• Experience with Java-based API testing using Rest Assured or similar libraries.
• Understanding of the PEGA platform architecture, including flows, rulesets, and case management.
• Proficiency in Git, JIRA, and test‑management tools.
• Exposure to custom Java frameworks for automation.
• Familiarity with other automation frameworks such as Playwright.
• Exposure to JavaScript.
• Bachelor of Computer Science.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $115,000 per year
