Full Stack Engineer - Vice President

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Engineer who is passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. The team lead plays a meaningful role in crafting and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery within an Agile team. The role is to own an Agile team’s efforts to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of our core organizational functions.

In addition to managing members of an Agile team, there is also an expectation to contribute to the codebase and deliver solutions against the sprint-level commitments.

• Leadership and Execution:
  Code contributing leader of an Agile team, delivering sprint goals and handling personnel duties (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions).
• Design, document, and develop world-class enterprise applications leveraging the latest technologies and design patterns.
• Lead a team of full stack engineers on end-to-end software solution design, development, and delivery using a modern tech stack/tools.
• Provide technical guidance and direction, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and conducting code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Identify and resolve technical and non-technical challenges, make informed decisions, and ensure the team can overcome obstacles.
• Proactively improve software development processes, tools, and practices; identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and efficiency gains; share knowledge and promote continuous learning within the team.
• Work independently and with the team to deliver software successfully.
• Deliver high-quality work (secure, testable, maintainable, low-defect, efficient) that incorporates best practices.
• Focus on operational excellence, identify problems, propose solutions, and take on projects that improve software maintainability.
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions and communicate with external parties as necessary.

  Effectively communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks across levels. Assess risk in business decisions with attention to reputation and compliance, escalating and reporting control issues with transparency.

• AI-Driven Development:
  Leverage AI tools (such as Git Hub Copilot) to enhance development efficiency and accelerate delivery timelines.
• AI Landscape Awareness:
  Maintain awareness of evolving AI advancements and propose innovative approaches to implement product features.

• Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
  Analyze and troubleshoot complex coding, performance, and design challenges.
• Root Cause Analysis:
  Conduct thorough research to identify root causes of issues and implement effective defect resolutions.
• Technical Acumen:
  Demonstrate deep understanding of technical requirements for the solutions under development.
• Containerization and Orchestration:
  Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for service orchestration.
• Process Optimization:
  Streamline and automate processes across architecture, build, delivery, production operations, or recurring issues.

  Experience:
  
  Minimum of 10 years of proven software development experience, specializing in AI project implementation, Python, Java, Spring Boot, React and Oracle, Postgres/Mango DB.
• Modern Application Development:
• In-depth knowledge of modern application architecture and data structures/object-oriented principles using Java.
• Experience architecting horizontally scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency applications.
• Practical experience with Artificial Intelligence tools to enhance development workflows.
• Proficiency with Microservices (e.g., Spring Boot), Event-Driven Services, and Cloud-Native Development; experience with REST and Graph
  
  QL.
• Experience with Cloud-native development and container orchestration tools (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift, etc.).
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and tools for building (Maven, Gradle) and deploying (Docker, Jenkins, Open Shift).
• Experience with AWS is a significant advantage.
• Full Stack Proficiency:
  Ability to design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of robust web applications.
• Front-End Development:
  Expertise in UI development using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React), HTML5, and CSS.
• Back-End Development:
  Experience with server-side logic and APIs using Java, Python, or similar.
• Database Expertise:
  Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, with deep understanding of RDBMS, particularly Oracle.
• API Development:
  Designing, developing, and implementing high-performance RESTful APIs.
• CI/CD and Dev Ops
• Agile Methodologies:
  Experience in Agile development and tools like JIRA.
• Testing Automation:
  Ability to develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Version Control:
  Experience with Git Hub Enterprise and Bitbucket.
