Role Overview
Citi's Investor Services division is seeking a visionary and experienced full‑stack engineering leader to join our team as a Vice President. This senior‑level position involves establishing and implementing mission‑critical application systems, shaping our technology landscape in coordination with a global team, and guiding developers while remaining hands‑on with a modern technology stack.
Responsibilities- Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex, scalable, and resilient full‑stack applications; mentor and coach mid‑level developers and analysts, allocate work, and provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews.
- Engage in hands‑on development across the full stack:
Java for backend services, React or Angular for user interfaces, and REST/GraphQL APIs. - Ensure all designs adhere to the enterprise architecture blueprint; develop and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Design and implement sophisticated, real‑time data processing solutions using Apache Kafka and related streaming technologies.
- Champion containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes); design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with management teams and stakeholders to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and translate business goals into robust technical solutions.
- Resolve high‑impact problems by evaluating complex business processes, system flows, and industry standards, developing innovative solutions.
- Assess risk appropriately, drive compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and uphold the highest ethical standards.
- 6‑10+ years of experience in application development or systems analysis, with a proven track record in a technical leadership role.
- Deep expertise in building and delivering full‑stack solutions with strong command of both backend and frontend development.
- Expert‑level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Strong experience designing and building APIs using RESTful services and GraphQL.
- Hands‑on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React or Angular.
- Proven experience with Apache Kafka for event‑driven architectures and real‑time data pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration in a production environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Deep subject‑matter expertise in at least one core area of application development.
- Adaptability to prioritize quickly in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Prior experience in Fin Tech or a large financial institution.
- Domain expertise in investor services, including custody, fund accounting, transfer agency, or asset servicing.
- Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.

Location:
Tampa, Florida, United States.
Salary range: $113,840 – $170,760.
