High School Varsity Football Coach

Position Overview:

Inlet Grove Community High School is seeking a qualified and passionate Head Varsity Football Coach to lead our football program. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the football program, developing players, fostering teamwork, and promoting academic success and sportsmanship.

• Oversee all practice sessions, games, and team-related activities.
• Develop and implement effective practice plans and game strategies.
• Mentor and develop high school student-athletes both on and off the field.
• Promote positive team culture, sportsmanship, and academic achievement.
• Recruit and retain players and coordinate with assistant coaches.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Work collaboratively with administration, school staff, students, parents, and community.

• Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred
  .
• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for games.
• Valid coaching certifications, background checks, and any required state clearances.
• Teaching certification preferred but not required (if applicable to your district).
