Position: Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Tampa, FL. This position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits for a solid driving career.

Pay & Benefits

Average weekly pay ranges from $1,115 to $1,337. Hourly rate is $27.89 per hour plus a possible $5.55 health & welfare stipend. Weekly hours average 40. Paid training is included. Schedule is Monday to Saturday, Dispatcher start time 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM.

The route is a local home daily within a 150-mile radius of Tampa, FL. Equipment includes Dry Van tractor type and Dry Van 53' trailer with rolling carts. Freight is touch with US Mail. Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance.

Requirements
  • Minimum age 21 years
  • Pass Ryder drug test
  • Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification for last 3 years
  • Pass DOT physical
  • Pass Ryder road test
  • Hold appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and or procedures
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
