POSITION SUMMARYThe Warehouse Driver reports to the Shipping Manager or their designee. Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to warehouses and cruise ship locations throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, Pompano, Key West, and West Palm Beach Counties, as well as ports including Port of Miami, Port Everglades, Port Canaveral, and Port of Tampa. Drivers operate trucks or vans under 26,000 GVW, utilizing routing software when needed, and may assist with loading and unloading shipments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver merchandise or packages
- Load and unload vehicles, verifying items against shipping manifests
- Follow assigned routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors via phone or radio for delivery updates
- Obtain signatures and submit receipts for all deliveries; collect payments when required
- Inspect vehicles for proper maintenance (fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, lights) and report mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate HOS (Hours of Service) and ELD records at all times
- Perform daily truck and trailer inspections.
- Cross-train in warehouse operations and assist as needed
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
- Report delays, accidents, or other transportation issues immediately
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL driver’s license required
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience (tractor-trailer experience preferred)
- Ability to operate straight trucks and tractor-trailer combinations
- Prior grocery store, consumer product, or customer service experience is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Able to work long hours and weekends during busy seasons
- Operate hand trucks and industrial power trucks safely
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Maintain clean and safe vehicle operation
