Light Duty Driver - Night Shift

Full-time primary shift. May include long nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be flexible.

The Light‑Duty Tow Truck Driver is the frontline personnel who operates flatbeds and wheel‑lift trucks for vehicle recoveries and transports. Drivers are the face of Guardian Fleet Services, delivering professionalism, safety, and customer service while working in any weather conditions.

• Operate light‑duty tow trucks (flatbed/rollback and wheel‑lift) to tow or transport passenger vehicles.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding job status, delays, hazards, and customer needs.
• Provide professional customer service, including explaining procedures and ensuring customer safety.
• Complete required paperwork, digital logs, and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and equipment.
• Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (Class E or equivalent); CDL not required.
• Preferred experience:
  
  commercial motor vehicles over 10K GVW, package delivery style, oil or fuel delivery.
• Local residency.
• Mechanical aptitude;
  Haz‑Mat or air brake endorsements and CMV experience listed as preferred.
• Ability to operate tow equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

• Lift, pull, and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly (dollies, tie‑downs, toolboxes, vehicle parts).
• Operate winches, levers, and manual controls requiring upper‑body strength.
• Push or maneuver disabled vehicles in tight spaces when necessary.
• Perform repeated bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching during loading and service tasks.
