Student Assistant - FWS - Asset & Logistics

Position Summary

This position provides support to the Housing and Residential Education, Asset & Logistics business unit in the area of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Shipping and Receiving.

• Providing assistance to Asset & Logistics staff in overall daily operations as requested: scanning, filing, data entry, and inventory
• Assisting staff with the inventory of parts/commodities in both the warehouse and assorted closets and storerooms.

• up to 20 hours per week

Flexible, Mon – Fri 8:30am – 4:30pm

• This job may require physical abilities such as trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist-finger movement in order to safely perform the possible functions of the position.
• Staff members are to follow safe practices at all times while performing tasks. Safety supplies such as safety gloves, eye protection, masks and back braces are available upon request.
• This position receives instruction in the form of ongoing assignments, work orders, projects and tasks, which HRE Asset & Logistics staff will assign.
• This position requires strict attention to detail, safety and accountability of assets, supplies, materials, vehicles, keys and access cards.

• Applicants with a valid Florida Driver’s license with a clean driving record and some experience driving large vehicles such as pick-up trucks or lift trucks
• Applicants able to view, test and pass the USF golf cart on-line training class
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
