We are looking for a highly motivated Warehouse Assistant in the Tampa, FL area to join our team. This full‑time, in‑person position offers competitive pay, Monday through Friday. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will facilitate the smooth completion of construction projects by ensuring an adequate and timely flow of materials and equipment to every construction site. You will be a well‑organized, multitasking individual with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Experience in construction and knowledge of basic purchasing and technical principles is highly desirable.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, condition, and documentation.
- Unload, organize, and store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack orders accurately, ensuring items are prepared for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Label, tag, and organize products to optimize space and accessibility.
- Maintain inventory control through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
- Prepare shipping documentation, such as packing slips, invoices, and shipping labels.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Warehouse or Material Handling experience preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and physically demanding environment.
- Basic math skills for inventory management.
