Position Summary/Objective
The Warehouse Associate position is responsible for accurately picking and packing our products, and assisting with shipping and inventory. In Addition this role requires adherence to all health and safety requirements.
Essential Functions
- Understand all product descriptions on the customers Pick List
- Operate lift or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Unpack, examine and route incoming and outgoing shipments, reject damaged items, and record shortages.
- Pulls and packs customer orders from computerized device and/or carton labels.
- Pick product for orders, while packing product in correct area and stocking warehouse appropriately.
- Load/unload incoming/outgoing trucks.
- Operate the forklift.
- Assemble, weigh and prepare orders for shipment through carrier.
- Prepares shipping containers, boxes and trays.
- Reviews box quantity for maximum shipment quality and efficiency.
- Reviews and verifies final carton count to ensure overall order accuracy.
- Ensures accuracy of inventory through accurate daily order processing.
- Adheres to work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
- Complete other work assignments and projects as requested.
Required Education and Experience
- Order Fulfilling is a fast-paced job that requires climbing, bending/kneeling, reaching overhead, continuous lifting, and walking.
- Basic knowledge in inventory software, barcode scanners, organizational abilities, and basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proven experience as order picker or another warehouse position.
- Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, & electric pallet jack.
