Overview

This lovely family based in Tamworth, Warwickshire, is hiring an After‑school Nanny to care for their school‑aged child. The role focuses on creating an engaging afternoon routine, including school pick‑ups, supervising homework, organising stimulating activities or playdates, preparing healthy afternoon snacks and dinner, and helping with the evening wind‑down.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

• Collecting the child from school.
• Helping with homework.
• Preparing meals and snacks.
• Arranging playdates.
• Playing age‑appropriate games together.
• Reading stories to the child.
• Tidying away their toys after use – child to help.
• Helping with the evening routine, e.g., assisting the child to organise bags for the next day.
• Light laundry of the child’s clothes.
• Occasional grocery shopping.

• Must be able to drive and provide reliable transport.
• Valid First Aid qualification.
• Comfortable with pets (family has a friendly cat).
• Proactive and warm professional who enjoys supporting a child’s development after a busy school day.

Commencement date: 12th January 2026.

Job type:
Part Time, Permanent.

Salary: £17 to £20 gross per hour.
