Hourly pay: $18.00 - $19.00

The Bakery Manager is responsible for performing duties as directed by Store Management and Administrative Management to ensure the successful operation of the Bakery Department. The Bakery Manager ensures customers receive top quality products and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Achieve goals for the department in sales and gross profit.
- Maintain and control supply and payroll expenses, inventory and waste.
- Follow correct accounting procedures (invoices, transfers, inventories, etc.).
- Order sufficient quantities of raw materials, establish proper pricing.
- Ensure product quality and freshness with proper rotation.
- Direct stocking, display, and rotation of bakery products, ensuring seasonal and sale items are displayed attractively.
- Collaborate with Store Manager and Bakery Specialist on merchandising, planning, scheduling, sales trends, potential problems, and improvements.
- Maintain a sanitary department in the sales floor, case/cooler and back room areas.
- Ensure all Bakery Department employees follow company policies and procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment in the department.
- Obey all safety standards outlined by the company.
- Cooperate with other departments when inter‑department or store‑wide sales promotions occur.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervise employees in the Bakery Department.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, train, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline; address complaints and resolve problems.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training.
- Reading, writing, and speaking proficiency suitable for customer and employee communication.
- Mathematical ability to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
