Job Summary: The Dairy and Frozen Stocker works under the direction of the Store Manager and supports the successful operation of the Dairy & Frozen department. The role involves delivering excellent customer service, stocking, maintaining product quality, and adhering to safety and store policies.

• Greet, respond to questions, and explain store policies to guests in a courteous manner.
• Prepare the back room for receipt of merchandise, unload trucks and sort cases according to aisle or pallet.
• Clean store floors, check lanes, carts, restrooms, parking lot, and shelves using cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Load stocking carts and pallets, transport cases to sales floor, match case strip to shelf tag or stock and "face" the front row of each display.
• Ensure safety for self, guests, and teammates by following store safety rules and reporting hazards to supervisor.
• Remove broken containers, packing materials, boxes, and trash from sales floor or guests’ pathway.
• Operate baler, case cutter, pallet jack and forklift (must be 18 years or older).
• Count and record individual items of merchandise for inventory.
• Manually price mark/label merchandise without UPC code.
• Move damaged, unsalable or returnable products from shelves to backroom; sort materials for damage reclaim center.
• Use proper case opening and product stacking techniques to prevent damage.
• Use the baler to compact bales, load salvage onto trucks.
• Change signs, light bulbs, tags and price markers on shelf displays.
• Assist cashiers by bagging and carrying merchandise when needed.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers.

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and employees.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions.
• Must be 18 or older to apply (and to operate pallet jack, forklift, baler, and cutters).
