Distribution Manager

1. Strategic Planning & Operational Control

Plan, lead, and supervise all DC (West and East) operations (including loading, unloading, routing, inter‑warehouse transport and fleet management) and third‑party logistics partners.

Create and monitor delivery schedules to End‑Customers (from Factory, DC West or DC East) and LDs to ensure On‑Time In‑Full (OTIF) service levels and optimal resource utilization and minimize distribution costs.

Lead the ongoing selection, performance evaluation, and business review of LD partnerships (in close cooperation with RBMs), including maintaining up‑to‑date contracts.

Oversee stock levels in DCs and LDs; monthly stock monitoring (overstock/understock, Expiry Date) on SKU level.

Analyse, plan, develop and monitor the Distribution Forecast, based on Secondary Sales Forecast from Sales Team, and leverage predictive systems to anticipate demand, manage costs, optimise Service Levels and avoid lost or expired stock.

Issue the PO from Sales & Distribution to Production.

Make sure that complaint stocks, expired stocks are reported and handled according SOP.

Monitor and report critical performance indicators for all LD’s and DC’s: primary/secondary sales, stock levels, Working Capital, returns, out‑of‑stocks, expired products, AR/AP, claims, and incentives.

Facilitate quarterly business review meetings with LDs, tracking KPIs aligned with company goals.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, Service Level improvement, process optimisation, and warehouse/fleet efficiency.

Prepare for digital transformation: support integration of automation, Distribution Replenishment System, ERP and predictive tools to enhance logistics forecasting and data accuracy.

Ensure all logistics and warehouse operations meet food safety standards (e.g., FSCC 22000, Halal) and legal requirements.

Maintain close monitoring of AR/AP with Treasury to ensure solvability of third‑party (LD/Direct Customer).

Control distribution‑related budgets and expenditures, continuously seeking value and efficiency. Cooperate closely with procurement regarding third‑party services.

Make sure all claims (Promotional, On‑time payment, Incentive LD Sales team, etc.) from the Local Distributors are accrued in advance, and claimed/settled within 3 months after accrual.

Lead, coach and develop the distribution team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, cost awareness and customer‑centricity.

Liaise with Sales, Procurement, Data Management, Production planning and Marketing to ensure effective communication on product availability, demand and customer feedback.

• Experience – Min 3 years in B2B, B2C or retail business.
• Experience in Ingredient products or FMCG products.
• Training – ISO 22000:2018, Food Safety/GMP, Logistic Management.
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bakery knowledge.
• Experience with or willingness to adopt AI‑driven forecasting, stock optimisation technologies and digital logistics platforms.
