KMK is a leading footwear manufacturer with over 30 years of experience, known for our commitment to product excellence, operational precision, and relentless innovation. We proudly serve some of the world’s most iconic brands — including Nike and Converse — through long-standing partnerships built on trust and performance.
Within KMK, the Strategy Planning & Development (SPD) team is the driving force behind corporate transformation and high-impact decision making. We lead the company’s most critical agendas — how manufacturing profitability is measured and improved, how the organisation is structured and run, and how capacity is planned across the group. Our team brings experience from top-tier global management consulting firms
.
This high-impact position sits at the heart of KMK’s operational and HQ-level transformation efforts
. You will work on the questions that determine how profitable this company is: how manufacturing profitability is measured, how our organisation and workflows are designed, and how capacity is planned across factories.
The role demands not only strong analytical thinking to identify the “right answer,” but also entrepreneurial ownership to implement solutions, resolve roadblocks, and ensure measurable results. SPD is deliberately small, so scope is wide and your work reaches the Managing Director directly, not through three layers of review.
Qualifications Education- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 2–5 years at a management consulting firm (performance improvement, operations, organisation, or corporate strategy);
or - 3–6 years in strategy, business planning, industrial engineering, or operational transformation within a manufacturing organisation (footwear or apparel an advantage);
or - An equivalent combination of the two
- Structured thinking — you break ambiguous problems into clean, MECE components, and can defend why that structure is the right one
- Analytical rigour — strong Excel and modelling skills across cost, capacity, and P&L; comfortable building a bottom-up cost model from raw, imperfect operational data
- Project management — you build workplans backwards from a deadline, run multiple work streams in parallel, and escalated early rather than late
- Communication and stakeholder management — you write and present with clarity and concision, and can build alignment with people whose operations you are proposing to change
- Execution mindset — you treat a recommendation as unfinished until it has been implemented and the value has shown up in the numbers
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
, spoken and written — both are working languages in this role, which moves between the production floor and senior leadership
