Uber AI Solutions is Uber’s marketplace connecting skilled freelancers with Generative AI researchers and product teams working on cutting‑edge AI systems. We partner with independent contractors to support large-scale model evaluation, alignment, and quality initiatives.

Uber AI Solutions is seeking participants for a short-term project who have experience in public‑assistance application processing or government document‑intake review. As a Freelance Eligibility Specialist, you’ll help Generative AI teams improve AI systems through hands‑on evaluation work: creating realistic prompts and scoring how accurately models follow task guidelines and review application documents. Freelancers may contribute across eligibility, benefits, and document‑intake specialties.

This is AI evaluation, not live benefits determination.

• Find and verify program requirements relevant to your specialty.
• Create original, human‑authored prompts, cases, and reference answers—not AI‑generated or copied dataset content.
• Review AI outputs and peer cases for document accuracy, consistency, and eligibility‑rule application.
• Build scoring rubrics and explain errors with actionable evidence.
• Complete platform onboarding and incorporate quality‑review feedback.

• Remote (United States)
• Engagement Type: 1099 Freelance / Independent Contractor, through the Uber AI Solutions platform
• Duration:
  One‑week pilot, with potential for additional freelance work based on project needs and mutual agreement.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in US government eligibility casework, public‑assistance application processing or government document‑intake review.
• Hands‑on verification of identity, income, residency, household, or other program proof documents, such as SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, housing assistance, unemployment benefits, eligibility systems or OCR/extraction review relevant to your specialty.
• Past work experience as Eligibility specialist, income‑maintenance caseworker, public‑assistance reviewer, government intake specialist or benefits‑casework practitioner.
• Demonstrated ability to apply program rules, perform numerical checks, and identify incomplete or contradictory case evidence.
• Expertise in at least one government‑benefits program; experience across every program is not required. Healthcare insurance verification alone does not establish government‑benefit casework.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Prior hands‑on experience with GenAI or LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, rubric or golden‑answer authoring, data annotation, RLHF, red‑team­ing, or model quality assessment.

Your expertise will improve how AI systems apply government rules to facts and produce accurate, traceable policy answers. This freelance evaluation engagement creates no attorney‑client relationship and involves no legal advice or representation.
