To provide engineering leadership and oversight for the installation, integration, and commissioning of electrical, control, instrumentation, and automation systems supporting Spillminator systems, chute gallery facilities, conveyors, crushers, and other underground oreflow infrastructure, ensuring the safe, reliable, and timely delivery of UG Expansion Project objectives and sustainable underground mining operations.
The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:1. Demonstrate strong understanding of safety awareness & compliance
- Underground electrical hazards
- High and low voltage systems
- Energized equipment and confined space risks
- Ensure strict implementation of:
- Electrical safety standards
- LOTO (Lock-Out Tag-Out) procedures
- Risk assessment and mitigation practices
2. Perform and supervise electrical engineering and installation activities and integration of:
- Power distribution systems (switch gear, transformers, panels)
- Lighting and auxiliary systems for UG and chute gallery
- Sensors, instrumentation, actuators, and control panels
- Integration with control/automation systems
3. Support electrical works of installation for UG Oreflow Infrastructure, such as
- Crusher systems
4. Review installation quality, ensure compliance with design and specifications
5. Coordinate contractors and technicians during field execution
- Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, construction, installation, or maintenance activities.
- Experience in industrial, mining, underground, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience with electrical systems supporting material handling facilities, including conveyors, crushers, and processing plants.
- Experience in:
- Spillminator or automation/control systems (preferred)
- UG Oreflow infrastructure (highly preferred)
Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Power distribution systems
- Motor control systems (MCC, VFD)
- Industrial electrical installation practices
- Electrical drawing interpretation (SLD, schematics, layouts)
