Role Description This full-time, on-site Elementary Teacher role is located in Tarboro, NC and involves planning and delivering standards-based lessons for elementary students in a supportive, student-centered environment. The teacher designs and implements age-appropriate curriculum, differentiates instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and uses data to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies. Daily responsibilities include creating a positive classroom culture, managing classroom routines, assessing student learning, and providing timely feedback to students and families.
The teacher collaborates with grade-level teams, support staff, and administrators to align instruction with district goals and state standards, and participates in professional development, school events, and family engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Elementary Education skills to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction.
- Candidates should possess Curriculum Development and Education skills to design, implement, and refine standards-aligned learning experiences.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly and respectfully with students, families, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; valid or eligible North Carolina teaching license preferred.
- Experience with classroom management, differentiated instruction, and use of technology to support learning.
- Commitment to equity, inclusive practices, and supporting diverse learners, including multilingual students and students with exceptional needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage in ongoing professional learning.
