World Cat operates a 140,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Tarboro, NC, and distributes its products across the United States and internationally through an established dealer network.

We are seeking to fill various full-time, on-site manufacturing roles based at World Cat’s manufacturing facilities in Tarboro and Greenville, NC. These roles are responsible for fabrication, processing and assembling boats and boat systems according to engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. Daily tasks include using hand and power tools, fitting and fastening parts, performing basic measurements, and following safety procedures on the production floor.

Team members and supervisors collaborate to meet production schedules, identifies and reports defects or issues, and helps maintain a clean, organized work area. This position supports continuous improvement by following standardized processes and suggesting practical enhancements to assembly methods where appropriate.

• Fiberglass and Composites:
  Experience with laminating, gel-coating, and vacuum infusion methods used for modern fiberglass hulls.
• Woodworking and Joinery:
  Traditional and modern wood shaping, framing, and interior cabinetry.
• Mechanical and Marine Engineering:
  Installing engines, steering systems, plumbing, and electrical layouts.
  
  Blueprint Reading:
  Understanding technical drawings, schematics, and CAD designs to assemble parts accurately
• Mechanical and technical skills to read and follow assembly drawings, work orders, and basic schematics; ability to use hand and power tools safely and accurately.
• Production and quality skills, including attention to detail, adherence to manufacturing standards, and basic inspection of assembled components.
• Physical capabilities such as standing for extended periods, lifting and moving materials, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following all safety guidelines.
• Collaborative and communication skills to work effectively in a team, communicate issues clearly, and follow direction from supervisors and leads.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in manufacturing, marine, automotive, or similar assembly environments is preferred.
• Willingness to learn specialized boat-building techniques, operate within lean manufacturing practices, and adapt to changing production needs.
