  • Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions.
  • Solicit, review, compare, and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
  • Identify missing scope, exclusions, unclear assumptions, pricing risks, and potential cost impacts before bid submission.
  • Support bid strategy, value engineering, and pricing recommendations.
  • Partner with leadership and project managers to align estimates with schedule, project goals, and profitability targets.
  • Track historical pricing, market trends, subcontractor pricing, and project costs to improve future estimate accuracy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Assist with bid packages, proposal preparation, clarifications, and post-award handoff to operations.
  • Communicate estimate assumptions, exclusions, risks, and scope details clearly to internal teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience estimating commercial construction, renovation, tenant improvement, or general construction projects.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proven experience preparing accurate takeoffs, detailed estimates, and bid packages.
  • Ability to compare subcontractor bids and identify missing scope, exclusions, or pricing inconsistencies.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, subcontractor scopes, and project sequencing.
  • Experience with renovation-related challenges such as existing conditions, phasing, access limitations, occupied spaces, and schedule constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with leadership, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and construction technology tools.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
