Senior Estimator – Commercial Construction Tarpon Springs, FL $130,000-$150,000 + Bonus + 401(k) + Excellent Benefits
We’re partnered with an established and highly respected General Contractor looking to add an experienced Senior Estimator to its team in Tarpon Springs, FL. The GC delivers a diverse portfolio across retail, power centers, healthcare, office, multifamily, education, religious and institutional construction, with projects typically ranging up to $40M
.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with strong commercial construction experience who can take ownership of projects from initial bid and conceptual budgeting through GMP development and final pricing.
As Senior Estimator, you’ll play a key role within the preconstruction team, working closely with operations, leadership, subcontractors and clients to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
Key responsibilities:- Leading estimates for commercial projects up to $40M
- Preparing hard bids, CM budgets and GMPs
- Performing detailed quantity takeoffs and scope reviews
- Soliciting, reviewing and leveling subcontractor and supplier proposals
- Identifying scope gaps and ensuring complete bid coverage
- Developing estimates across all CSI divisions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documents
- Supporting value engineering and constructability reviews
- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and trade partners
- Collaborating with project management and field teams through preconstruction and project handover
- 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
- Strong General Contractor estimating/preconstruction background
- Experience with hard bidding, CM budgeting and GMP preparation
- Strong understanding of all CSI divisions
- Experience soliciting, scoping and analyzing subcontractor proposals
- Commercial project experience across sectors such as retail, healthcare, office, multifamily, education or institutional
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
- Strong overall construction knowledge
- Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
