Qualifications- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three years successful experience as a classroom teacher
- Valid Certification as an administrator
- Demonstrated successful supervisory and leadership experience

- Such alternatives or additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
To serve as the instructional and administrative leader of the school by establishing a clear vision for teaching and learning, fostering a culture of high expectations, and ensuring equitable access to a rigorous, high-quality educational program. The principal will collaborate with staff, students, families, and the community to implement continuous school improvement efforts and achieve the school’s mission and strategic goals.

Performance Responsibilities- Provides effective leadership in planning, development, implementation, and evaluating a standards-aligned instructional program.
- Leads the use of multiple data sources to drive instructional decisions, monitor student progress and improve outcomes.
- Interprets and enforces federal and state laws and state and local board policies.
- Recruits, screens, selects, assigns, and retains highly effective certified and classified staff.
- Develops staff capacity through ongoing supervision, coaching, evaluation, and targeted professional learning.
- Establishes and monitors professional learning communities (PLCs) focused on student achievement and instructional improvement.
- Manages and allocates human, fiscal, and material resources to support school priorities and maximize operational efficiency.
- Prepares, administers, and monitors the school budget in alignment with district goals and school improvement plans.
- Develops and oversees the master schedule to ensure equitable access to instruction, interventions, and enrichment opportunities.
- Ensures appropriate student placement and the effective implementation of academic and support services.
- Maintains a safe, orderly, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
- Fosters a positive school culture characterized by high expectations, accountability, and mutual respect.
- Communicates effectively with students, staff, families, and the community to build strong partnerships and support student success.
- Articulates and promotes the school’s mission, vision, and goals with clarity and consistency.
- Demonstrates professionalism, ethical conduct, and a commitment to continuous personal and organizational improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent consistent with the role of principal.
Twelve-month position in accordance with the Board’s salary schedule.
EvaluationPerformance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the State Department of Education and/or Tarrant city Board of Education policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
This is an exempt position.
