Senior QA​/Quality Engineer

Position: Senior QA / Quality Engineer
Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior QA / Quality Engineer for a contract assignment in New York, NY or Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities :

• Partner with internal Project Managers to assess current QA and testing practices during a structured discovery phase.
• Evaluate existing manual and automated testing frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Assess automation maturity and identify opportunities to improve speed, accuracy, and coverage.
• Lead assessment of AI-assisted testing and automation capabilities, including no-code / low-code solutions.
• Provide recommendations for transitioning from hands-on scripting-based testing (e.g., Selenium) to modern, scalable QA platforms.
• Identify quality risks, compliance considerations, and governance gaps in regulated environments.
• Define future-state QA strategies, tooling recommendations, and operating models.
• Document findings and present clear, actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience as a Senior QA /Quality Engineer with a strong background financial services (experience navigating in regulated environments is a big plus ).
• Strong background operating in highly regulated environments with audit, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium) and modern QA tools.
• Demonstrated experience implementing or advising on AI-assisted testing and no-code / low-code test automation platforms.
• Strong understanding of QA governance, controls, and compliance in regulated systems.
• Excellent communication and written skills to aide in documenting test results for audits/exams, reporting trends, and communicating issues and risks clearly to business, risk, and IT stakeholders.
• Proven ability to move organizations from manual or script-heavy testing models to modern, scalable QA approaches.
