Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative

Arc has 16 properties and are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to help ensure a safe, clean, comfortable environment for clients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have suitable qualifications and experience within the property maintenance and void refurbishment environment.

As Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative some of your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

• Carrying out maintenance repairs as required across various trades to all areas of Arc properties including basic plumbing and electrics, carpentry, flooring, decorating and grounds maintenance, ensuring all our accommodation is always to a high standard.
• Conducting thorough void inspections to identify required repairs and safety issues.
• Performing rapid turnaround works, including the management of belongings, clearing debris and repairing walls, ceilings, or flooring.
• Stripping out, disposing of and replacing damaged fixtures, fittings, furniture, and white goods.
• Working on refurbishment projects with other team members and liaise with suppliers and outside contractors as required.
• Calculating, without waste, the quantities of materials required, source and collect them from suppliers.
• Carrying out as necessary collections and deliveries, e.g. donated equipment or gift from members of the public or other organisations, and to help with other staff in moving/carrying furniture or white goods.
• Assisting in delivering complete compliance in relation to regulatory requirements.
• Access and keep repair records using Arc’s IT systems including MS Office and our repairs systems.

This role is 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday Core Hours 7:30am – 3:30pm. Flexible hours beyond core 7:30am – 5:30pm.

Candidates will need basic IT skills, the ability to work both within a team and independently and able to work calmly under pressure. A full clean UK driving license is essential.
