Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Working across Devon, Dorset and Somerset – predominantly the EX and TA post codes£35,579 - £37,452 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, covering different sites across Devon, Dorset and Somerset. As a Multi-Trade Operative you will be predominantly working in properties across the EX and TA post codes. You will working within the Voids department in a team of 9 working to return empty properties back to habitable living conditions again.
You will carry out all internal repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, fencing and general maintenance. Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools in order for you to complete jobs to a high standard.
- Carrying out internal and external repairs to empty properties
- Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications.

- Skills in some of the following disciplines – plumbing, carpentry, wet trades, painting, glazing or fence works
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to priorities workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
