Role Summary
In this role, you’ll provide reliable administrative and operational support to teams across the Displaced People Service, helping services run smoothly day to day. This includes supporting the Homes for Ukraine, Planned Resettlement, Asylum and Refugee Housing teams. You’ll support the coordination of activities, help organise and document meetings, and maintain accurate records across databases according to business need, and to inform effective decision making.
You will also support basic financial administration, alongside other Senior Business Support Assistants.
You’ll make a real difference by helping teams stay organised and informed, allowing them to focus on supporting displaced individuals and families. By handling enquiries, supporting colleagues, and keeping systems up to date, you’ll play a key role in ensuring services run efficiently and respond to people’s needs.
Overall, this is an important position that supports the delivery of high-quality services for displaced people, while providing a great opportunity to develop your skills and build your experience in business support or administration.
What you'll do - Key Responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Have an ability to prioritise conflicting work demands and make decisions.
- Experience of working in an office environment and/or administration role.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications in particular Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, including a competent level of numeracy and literacy.
- Experience of customer service.
- Experience organisation and administration support to meetings.
- Experience in handling data in a variety of platforms and IT applications.
- Experience of social media.
- Understanding of Data Protection.
- Be educated to GCSE level including English and Maths or hold an NVQ level 3/QCF Level 2 standard or equivalent.
- Ensure accuracy of data.
- Sound organisational skills.
- Experience of using and/or understanding of data bases.

- 28 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
- 37 hours per week – Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2028
