Job Overview
Are you the Residential Counselor we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with youth that we serve.
Cohannet Academy is an Intensive Residential Treatment Program for adolescents that specializes in trauma‑informed care. Cohannet provides 24‑hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Full‑Time; 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM including weekends.
CompensationThe pay range is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour
. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. Overtime may be mandated at times.
- You will develop skills in providing enriching daily activities for youth, such as arts and crafts, recreational activities, off‑site field trips, and more.
- You will create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting youth in developing and role‑modeling effective coping strategies.
- You will help youth discover what makes them feel competent and valued by working with them to develop life skills such as cooking, banking, vocational skills, and more. Your day‑to‑day work will support youth in developing a sense of self and provide them the skills to be successful in their next steps.

- Must be 21 years of age.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license; transportation of youth is required.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
- Will be trained to provide physical interventions and verbal de‑escalations to maintain a safe therapeutic atmosphere for youth.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
High School or better.
Required license: Driver’s License.
