About the Role
On offer for the successful Groundworks Estimator is the exciting opportunity to join a reputable contractor specialising in groundworks and civil engineering projects across the house building sector. In this varied role, the successful Groundworks Estimator will take responsibility for the preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, and detailed quantity take‑offs while working closely with project teams and senior management. You will be involved in the full tendering process, applying your commercial awareness and technical expertise to deliver competitive and accurate bids.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Carry out quantity take‑offs and analyse drawings and specifications.
- Manage multiple tenders simultaneously from enquiry through to submission.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Provide technical and commercial input during bid preparation.
- Conduct site visits across the South West.
- Work 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.
- Experience as an Estimator within Groundworks or Civil Engineering.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Salary: GBP 70,000 – GBP 85,000 per annum + training + progression.
