Role:
Systems Engineer
Client: Defense-Aerospace
Hourly Rate: $70/hr W2, non-benefited
Length: Long-Term
Location: Taunton, MA
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Description- Integrate advanced hardware components — including Single Board Computers (SBCs), FPGAs, and GPUs — into system chassis in accordance with design documentation
- Work alongside engineers across disciplines to support full lifecycle system integration efforts
- Problem Solving:
Ability to independently isolate, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware, software, or firmware issues - Test Development:
Experience writing and executing detailed test procedures to validate system hardware and software against functional and performance requirements - Test Automation:
Familiarity with automated test scripting - OpenVPX:
Hands‑on experience configuring OpenVPX chassis and cards - Network Analysis:
Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark - Virtualization:
Experience with virtual environments including VMware and Linux‑based virtual devices - CMOSS/SOSA:
Familiarity with CMOSS and/or SOSA standards is a plus
- Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools
- Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions
- Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win‑win solutions
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
