Job Title:

HVAC Site Engineer – Hinkley Point C

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point

C. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in HVAC systems, capable of liaising between engineering teams and on‑site contractors to ensure successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in a landmark energy project, helping to power millions of homes with low‑carbon electricity.

Hinkley Point C, Somerset (On‑site role)

Our client is a leading organisation delivering large‑scale engineering projects across the UK. They are committed to high‑quality standards and providing long‑term energy infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the main HVAC interface between engineering teams, site area/building leads, and contractors.
  • Support initial installation activities and ensure smooth progress through delivery, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Share technical knowledge and expertise with site teams to aid project success.
  • Review and assess Field Change Requests (FCR) and site Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) for clarity, completeness, and practicality.
  • Evaluate remediation plans and confirm the most appropriate solutions for implementation.
  • Recommend appropriate delegation levels for FCR/NCR treatment.
  • Monitor trends in issues raised and work proactively to prevent recurring problems.
Must‑have Requirements
  • Proven experience of HVAC systems or components within multi‑disciplinary projects, ideally in the nuclear sector.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow rigorous engineering standards.
  • Track record of delivering engineering safely, to quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Ability to lead and influence stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Self‑motivated with awareness of personal limitations.
  • Knowledge of contractual and commercial practices.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Familiarity with risk mitigation in complex infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with large‑scale energy or nuclear projects.
