Clark Wood have been instructed on a Manager or Senior Manager level opportunity for a large regional firm in Taunton. The role focuses on advisory work across a mixed tax client portfolio.

• Lead and manage a department, overseeing a large complex portfolio of tax clients.
• Provide high‑level advisory and planning services across business and corporate tax issues, including business reorganisations, reconstructions and demergers, share schemes, EIS/SEIS, R&D tax credits, patent box claims, M&A, exit planning and succession planning.
• Support tax planning, business development, networking and client portfolio growth.
• Increase awareness and exposure of the firm’s tax services.

• CTA or ACA‑qualified professional.
• Experience as Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager within a small, mid‑tier or large firm.
• Proven track record of business development.
• Strong technical tax knowledge, especially within UK tax issues, and thorough understanding of SME & OMB sectors.

The ideal candidate has good technical skills and experience, and a thorough understanding of UK tax issues. Target clients include SMEs, OMBs and some international groups in the Taunton and wider South West & Somerset region.
