Position Overview
We are seeking a safety-focused, dependable, and mechanically inclined Compound Mixing Crew Member Associate to join our fast‑paced manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate production equipment and execute the end-to-end compound mixing process—including weighing raw materials, batching, stripping, and dicing. Position DetailsPosition Type:
Full‑Time Hourly
Hourly Range: $25.98 – $31.02 / hour
- Equipment Operation:
Safely operate manual mixers, batching systems, extruders, and material handling equipment. - Material Preparation:
Accurately weigh, prepare, and blend raw materials according to precise formulas and schedules. - Quality & Inspection:
Monitor production runs and inspect finished products to ensure strict compliance with quality specifications. - Maintenance & 5S:
Perform routine preventative equipment maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and maintain excellent housekeeping (5S) standards. - Documentation:
Keep accurate production logs and complete required digital inventory and computer transactions.
- Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical/vocational training is a plus. - Communication:
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. - Experience (Preferred):
Prior experience in manufacturing, chemical blending, mixing, extrusion, rubber/plastics, or wire & cable industries. Experience with forklifts or SAP systems is highly valued. - Core
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift to 75 lbs.
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a full shift.
- Ability to distinguish colors for product identification and quality verification.
- Comfortable working in an industrial plant environment (exposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving machinery) utilizing required PPE.
- $2,500 Stay Bonus ($1,250 after 6 months; $1,250 after 1 year)
- $175 Yearly Boot Allowance
- Performance-Based Hourly Pay
- Shift Premiums: $1.50/hr. (2nd shift); $2.25/hr. (3rd shift); $2.00/hr. (4th Shift AM); $3.0/hr. (4th Shift PM)
