Job Overview

Reporting to the Plant Director, we are seeking a Lean Transformation Manager for our Taunton, MA location. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing Kaizen methodologies and the Prysmian Performance System (PPS).

Compensation range: $100K up to $125K.

Responsibilities
  • Own the transformation agenda and directly influence site strategy.
  • Build and drive a site-wide Lean roadmap aligned to business strategy (Hoshin Kanri).
  • Partner directly with the Site Director to prioritize the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Drive measurable gains across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
  • Identify and prioritize high-volume, high-revenue value streams where results matter most.
  • Facilitate high-impact Kaizen events focused on flow, constraint removal, and cost transformation.
  • Ensure every initiative delivers hard, tracked results—not theoretical improvements.
  • Act as a change agent, challenging leadership teams when necessary and bringing them along.
  • Embed Lean thinking into daily decisions, not just projects, and ensure sustainability through standard work, daily management, and accountability systems.
  • Develop operators, supervisors, and leaders into capable problem solvers and coach the organization on how to think, not just what to do.
  • Create a pipeline of future Lean leaders across the site.
Qualifications
  • Lean Black Belt or Certified Continuous Improvement leader in manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable improvements (cost, throughput, lead time, etc.).
  • Deep expertise in Value Stream Transformation, Flow & Pull Systems, Hoshin Kanri, SMED, TPM, Standard Work, Daily Management & Visual Systems.
  • Strong ability to influence leaders who don’t report to you.
  • Proven success in changing behavior, not just processes.
  • Strong focus on impact over activity.
  • Advanced problem‑solving and analytics skills: SPC, regression, hypothesis testing.
  • Change leadership credentials (PROSCI, Agile, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Master on TPS or Danaher Business System Certification.
  • Project management experience with a proven track record of meeting timelines.
  • Agile certification such as SCALE.
  • PROSCI certification.
  • Strong analytical background – SPC, Hypothesis Testing, Regression, Correlation Analysis.
  • Advanced problem‑solving techniques: 5‑Whys, 8‑D, Shainin, etc.
Required Competencies, Education, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial engineering strongly preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership in Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.
  • Proficient in Gemba Kaizen, Value Stream Analysis, Visual & Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, SMED, TPM, Standard Work Development, and 3P Layout.
  • Strong ability to facilitate Kaizen Events on these methods and tools.
  • Proficiency in leading cost reduction and process flow improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen tools such as 3P, TAKT Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP, and Kaizen Newspaper.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide leadership and strategic direction as part of the site leadership team.
