Position Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, and packaging products to meet quality and customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the flexibility to support warehouse operations as needed to meet production and delivery schedules. A commitment to continuous improvement is also essential. Compensation for this position is $23-28 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble fabricated components, wiring, and subassemblies into finished products.
Calibrate, test, and inspect products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Use hand tools and follow established assembly procedures and work instructions.
Receive, pull, and cycle count inventory as assigned.
Package finished products according to customer orders and department standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Support warehouse operations during periods of lower assembly demand.
Meet production and delivery deadlines, including overtime when required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Safety Requirements

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Safely operate powered industrial equipment, when authorized.
Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform frequent bending, twisting, climbing, and standing.
Follow all Granite City Electric health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
Promote a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous work experience in assembly or the electrical or related field.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Qualifications
