Manufacturing Process Engineer (Cabling Systems) About the Role
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will drive operational excellence by optimizing production workflows for high‑performance copper and fiber optic cabling. You will leverage your technical expertise in mechanical engineering and process development to enhance manufacturing efficiency, troubleshoot complex equipment challenges, and ensure the highest standards of product quality.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to maximize output and quality.
- Engineer and maintain precision tooling and dies to support specialized production requirements.
- Execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 5 Why methodologies to resolve production bottlenecks and non‑conformances.
- Manage experimental production runs and technical order execution to validate new product designs.
- Develop comprehensive technical manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures to guide production teams.
- Oversee capital appropriation projects from conception to completion to modernize facility capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external vendors to integrate cutting‑edge materials and process technologies.
- Provide technical mentorship and training to manufacturing personnel to ensure standardized operational performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works) and statistical analysis tools like Minitab.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed Root Cause Analysis.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Direct experience within the wire and cable manufacturing sector.
- Hands‑on experience utilizing SAP for production and resource management.
- Fluency in Portuguese as a secondary language.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation.
