SUMMARY
Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

- Document initial and ongoing patient assessment in a complete, concise, and timely manner according to policy and procedure of MHMC.
- Develop and modify effective, comprehensive, and individualized plan of care including discharge planning for assigned patients, utilizing standards of care developed by MHMC.
- Apply knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
- Initiate and coordinate patient teaching according to identified needs.
- Integrate, delegate, and coordinate patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.
- Delegate responsibilities for care, when applicable, and make assignments according to the skill level of the caregiver.
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions according to established policy and procedure of MHMC.
- Plan and supervise other patient caregivers in providing patient care on unit while functioning as a professional role model.
- Exercise independent judgment in times of need and emergency situations and evaluate the results of actions taken.
- Administer medication and perform treatments, utilizing principles of aseptic technique to assigned patients according to the established policy and procedure of MHMC.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- Epic experience preferred.
- Ongoing development of work skills through available resources (in-services, formal educational programs, work groups, and on-the-job training).
- Attendance and participation in staff meetings and in-services and review documentation as required.
- Assistance in the orientation of others and active participation in mentoring.
- Perform analytical and decision‑making functions with minimal supervision.
- Recognize and seek assistance/consultation when appropriate.
- Understand relative hospital and all‑departmental policies and procedures, including safety issues.
- Possess awareness of programs/services provided by the hospital and their locations.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- MA RN License.
- BLS and/or ACLS Certification.
- Additional certifications required where applicable:
• ICU, FLOAT, S1 and M2‑ACLS
• Emergency Department‑PALS and ACLS
• PACU‑ACLS, PALS
• Interventional‑PALS and ACLS
$36.87 – $73.13
