Job Description & How to Apply Below

Wyrmwood is known for craftsmanship that obsessives lose sleep over — intricate, heirloom-quality pieces built for people who care deeply about the spaces they inhabit. We're now looking for someone who speaks that same language natively: a seasoned interior design professional who understands the world of specifications, procurement, trade accounts, and the unspoken currency of trust that closes projects in the design industry.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a hybrid role where your design-industry expertise becomes a genuine competitive advantage — not just a credential on a resume. You'll open doors in the interior design and architecture community, represent Wyrmwood at trade events and design markets, and build the kind of long-term relationships that generate recurring project-based revenue.

What You’ll Do Business Development & Market Penetration
  • Identify, pursue, and close new revenue opportunities within the interior design, architecture, and high-end residential and commercial project channels
  • Build and deepen relationships with interior designers, design-build firms, architects, specifiers, purchasing agents, and trade-account buyers
  • Represent Wyrmwood at design industry events, trade shows, showrooms, and conventions — becoming a trusted, recognizable presence in the design community
  • Drive outreach through personal networking, referrals, and engagement with the design trade ecosystem
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle: discovery, specification support, proposal, and close
  • Collaborate with internal teams on feasibility, lead times, and custom project scoping
  • Help build repeatable processes for pursuing and winning design-channel business
Strategic & Consulting Support
  • Provide input on market positioning, go-to-market strategies, and growth opportunities within the design sector
  • Advise leadership on partnership structures, trade pricing approaches, and channel-specific opportunities
Brand & Creative Contribution
  • Contribute to brand identity development including visual guidelines, color standards, and design language that resonates with a design‑industry audience
  • Support the creation and consistency of brand assets across sales, marketing, and client‑facing communications
  • Bring a designer's eye to how Wyrmwood presents itself — ensuring the brand reflects the quality and craftsmanship of the products
Who You Are

You come from the interior design world — as a practicing designer, design firm business developer, trade sales professional, or a similar role where your livelihood depended on relationships and your reputation in the design community. You understand how designers source products, how projects are specified, and what it takes to earn a spot on someone's preferred vendor list.

Required Experience
  • Background in interior design, architecture, furniture, or a related design-driven field
  • Proven experience generating new business and closing opportunities in a client-facing role
  • Comfort networking and building relationships at trade events, showrooms, and industry organizations
  • Experience managing multiple relationships and project-based opportunities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and follow-through — you do what you say you'll do
  • Ability to work independently and create structure in an unstructured environment
Preferred Experience
  • Active relationships within the interior design or architecture community that could generate early conversations
  • Experience with custom, luxury, or specification-driven products
  • Familiarity with trade pricing, project budgeting, or procurement processes
  • Exposure to vendors, fabricators, or manufacturing in the context of project delivery
  • Understanding of showroom, to-the-trade, or contract channel dynamics
Why This Role

Wyrmwood products already attract the kind of customers who care about craft — which means the interior design market is a natural fit that hasn't yet been fully developed. The person who takes this role has the opportunity to build something from the ground up, bring their network and expertise into a company that will support them, and grow with a brand that's genuinely worth representing.

This isn't a quota-driven sales role with a script. It's a relationship-driven position for someone with enough industry standing to open doors on the strength of their own reputation — backed by a product that earns the next conversation on its own merit.
