Key Responsibilities- Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to troubleshoot and repair various packaging machines, focusing on multi-head weighers; provide on-site and remote support.
- Conduct installations of a variety of packaging equipment including tray formers, tray sealers, fillers, dosers, form/fill/seal machines, etc.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively identifying solutions, following up on customer inquiries, and providing technical phone support.
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and service managers to address complex issues and continuously improve service delivery.
- Participate in training programs and document service calls and solutions in detail, using technology tools for efficient reporting and knowledge retention.
- Minimum of 5 years in a technical field, at least 3 years troubleshooting mechanical and electrical machine issues; prior experience with multi-head weighers is essential.
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems; ability to work with high precision and close tolerances.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling and/or experience in electricity, electronics, or equipment maintenance preferred.
- Willingness to travel 70-85% of the time; valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and Windows; ability to use service databases and CRMs such as Filemaker.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
