Job Overview

Performance Food service (PFG) is a broadline distributor serving food service customers. We are seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to manage delivery operations.

Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to close.

Responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of delivery operations, communicating with truck drivers via computers, phones, or two‑way radios, assigning drivers to trucks, ensuring on‑time departures and arrivals, and handling driver queries about traffic, weather, or delivery routes. Provides professional communication with customers, vendors, and co‑workers.

• Track driver progress along routes using available technology.
• Check drivers in and out of terminals and transfer trip records into the company’s files.
• Communicate daily with drivers, handling any customer requests and complaints.
• Calculate miles for all trucks.
• Determine travel and route times to accurately assess delivery costs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

1–2 years of dispatch and commercial driver experience or related area.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

2–4 years of dispatch and commercial driver experience within the food service industry.
