CDL-A Truck Driver — Regional Runs

Overview

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Taunton, MA. The position offers weekly pay, benefits, and a rewarding career.

• Weekly pay $1,700+ (average), with guaranteed $1,200 weekly.
• Hourly pay: $30.00 per hour.
• Travel time: $25.50 per hour.
• Weekly guarantee: $1,200 (average $1,700 plus weekly).
• Hours per week: 50‑60 hours.
• Mileage reimbursement $0.70 after 50 miles.
• Paid training.

• Start time: PM/AM dispatch.

• Deliver single trips: varies.
• Route: regional, up to 1 week.
• Tractor types: sleeper, day cab, 26' straight trucks.
• Trailer types: dry van, reefer, flatbed 48', 53'.
• Equipment: electric and manual pallet jack.
• Ryder will train on all equipment.
• Freight: touch‑varies.
• No automatic restrictions.
• Cover multiple Ryder accounts.

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers fuel at over 800 nationwide facilities.

• Minimum age 21.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check with drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years.
• Pass DOT physical.
• Pass Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
• Class A experience: 9 months within past 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards, maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
