CDL-A Delivery Driver

Position Details

• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed) starting between 3 AM - 5 AM
• Pay:
  Minimum $429 per day (bi‑weekly pay)

Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. They ensure customers’ products arrive on time and in good condition, acting as the face of the company and building lasting relationships with customers.

• Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, answering questions accurately and timely.
• Function as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
• Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post‑trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report all safety issues and/or required repairs.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines and policies.
• Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect the trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Perform a count check of items and verify customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
• Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly.
• Move tractor to the loading dock and attach the pre‑loaded trailer as needed.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to the predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
• Perform damage‑control checks on items, scan, and contact the supervisor about removing orders per company policy.
• Verify delivery of items with the customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Collect money (cash or checks) when required, load customer returns onto the trailer, and secure trailer doors.
• Ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns, bring them to the driver check‑in, and complete necessary paperwork. Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Complete a daily record of hours of service and enter it in the log per federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
• At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED

• 12+ months of commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL‑A
• 21 years of age or older
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years
• Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card and/or be able to secure a new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand‑lift and use a two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight. Product generally ranges from 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds, depending on the location
