Job Summary
Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for scheduling, dispatching, and resolving problems for our drivers, contractors, and/or carriers. Must have exceptional proactive communication skills with internal and external customers, resolving issues with timely pick up and delivery, check calls, activity documentation, and maintaining a professional workplace attitude in a fast‑paced environment. Must be able to work any shift—day, night, or weekend—to ensure operational success.
Job DescriptionSign‑On Bonus: $500 after 180 days of service.
This is an in‑person position in East Taunton.
Key Responsibilities- Professional, timely, and effective internal and external driver interaction via phone calls and system messages, building a positive attitude to strengthen driver engagement and reduce turnover.
- Maintain driver detention time and manage equipment through effective communication and planning to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Efficiently assign loads to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and driver retention, monitoring freight optimization based on current loads.
- Maintain the company safety culture, including daily safety messages and monthly driver briefings, enforcing mandatory DOT compliance.
- Driver load monitoring and proactive problem resolution for pickup or delivery delays caused by mechanical issues, traffic, weather, or customer‑directed changes.
- Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- High‑School Diploma or GED with up to 1–2 years of experience in Transportation, Customer Service, Administration, or a related field.
- Must be able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience, or 4–5 years in the Transportation/Logistics industry.
- Accurate information processing.
- Conflict recognition and resolution at individual, group, and situational levels.
- Analytical decision‑making based on informed judgment.
- Adaptability to changing environments.
- Establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Meet or exceed team/driver needs and expectations, providing excellent service.
- Effective communication skills.
The starting pay range is $20.05 to $25.05 per hour. The position may be eligible for annual bonus and other incentives per the company’s bonus and incentive plans.
