Night Driver

Granite City Electric Supply is seeking a professional NON CDL Delivery Night Driver to join our transportation team in Taunton, MA. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and can deliver products on time and professionally while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

• Cross-check orders while loading the delivery truck.
• Safely and efficiently drive to customer locations following assigned routes.
• Unload and deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure accurate and complete delivery of products.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in good condition, performing routine checks and reporting issues.
• Keep all paperwork current and accurate, including logs and delivery receipts.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure professional and on-time delivery.
• Follow a typical 4-day work week with approximate hours 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM (times may vary).
• Starting compensation is $27.00 - $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

• Load trucks and deliver packages in all weather conditions, including climbing in and out of the vehicle.
• Deliver loaded pallets to job sites, customer shops, Granite City branches, and depots safely and punctually.
• Operate Department of Transportation regulated vehicles weighing over 10,000 lbs.
• Adhere to safety standards on and off the road.
• Solve problems independently using critical thinking.
• Interact professionally with customers and other Granite City departments.

• Communicate with supervisors to maintain route efficiency.
• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Participate in training and meetings as requested.

• Participate in programs to promote a safe work environment.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the position.
• Maintain high order accuracy and ensure on-time delivery.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of Commercial Driver License (CDL) experience.
• At least three (3) years of Hoisting License / Hydraulic License experience.
• Knowledge of forklift operations and warehouse equipment preferred.
• Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above.

• Pass the required Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) and background screening.
• PUNCTUALITY and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with customers.
• Minimum of three years of delivery or truck driving experience.
• Must understand maps/GPS and be able to navigate routes.
• Physical capability to push/pull/lift up to 70 lbs; ability to stand, walk, and climb in/out of a truck; work in all weather conditions.
