Job Title

Class A: CDL Delivery Driver (Local - Home Daily)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL driver to serve as a Delivery Service Associate for local routes around our distribution center location. This position offers daily home time, competitive hourly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. The primary function is to operate flatbed trucks and curtain-side trailers to deliver products efficiently and accurately to customers. CDL Drivers must demonstrate a courteous and professional attitude toward customers at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Willing and able to work safely at all times. Understand and observe all safety procedures to prevent injury to self or co-workers.
  • Operate semi-trucks and other non-CDL trucks according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Navigate loading and unloading areas, follow loading crew signals.
  • Assist with loading or unload goods and materials using appropriate equipment; unload skids and return equipment to designated area.
  • Maintain invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork; submit electronically or to the shipping office.
  • Perform daily pre-trip, post-trip, and routine inspections of truck and trailer to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Verify that material loaded matches shipping documents and is in good condition.
  • Secure material in the truck to prevent damage in transit, using straps, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
  • Ensure proper weight distribution for DOT compliance.
  • Maintain and update electronic logs, trip reports, and on-board computer as required for DOT compliance.
  • Communicate any delivery issues to the branch promptly and professionally.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Must meet all DOT qualification standards, including drug screening and medical card.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
  • Minimum of 3 years of similar driving experience within the last 5 years.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a DOT drug and alcohol test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background screening in accordance with applicable law and company policy.
