Salary Range: $29.00 To $31.00 Hourly
Job SummaryWill perform a variety of assignments relating to scheduling a large fleet of fuel trucks and drivers. Includes resolution of transportation and customer conflicts, orders, and balances of inventory and cost control. This position requires working in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment. Must be able to multi‑task, handle high volume phone calls, and be proficient working with multiple computer programs.
We have 2 opportunities for weekend dispatchers – Schedules available would be Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday 4:30am-4:30pm.We don't just offer a job, we offer an opportunity! Great benefits, great team environment, at a growing successful company. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule or dispatch drivers to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, and needs, using radios or telephones.
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
- Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
- Receive or prepare work orders.
- Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from work crews, supervisors, or field inspectors using telephones or the computer.
- Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
- Prepare daily work and run schedules.
- Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
- Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards.
- Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
- Read and analyze current market conditions and product pricing to maximize cost efficiency.
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 2+ years of prior dispatch experience
- Fluent Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with familiarity of Access, or other similar database software
- Able to work independently, as well as work with the team
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and strong attention to detail are required
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Able to bend, stand, walk, sit
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer including keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
