Probation Officer

The essential function of the position within the organization is to manage assigned offender cases for the Probation Division. The position is responsible for processing intakes, managing a case load, providing client referrals to professional and community service providers, coordinating community service assignments, and performing related administrative and clerical tasks. The position works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences.

This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Corrections, Law Enforcement or a closely related field with two (2) years of related experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license.
