Computer Technician II

The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide technical computer, network, peripheral, and end user support for Lake County or a specific assigned department. The position is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware,

software, network components, and peripheral equipment; receiving, resolving and documenting requests for assistance with associated problems; providing professional and courteous customer service at all times, and perform related technical and clerical duties as required. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.

This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires Associate's Degree or the equivalent of two years of college or vocational school education in computer technology, network administration, information systems management or a closely related field.

Requires four years of related experience.
