** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions at a government location.

+ Screen visitors, staff, and permitted items at designated entry points in accordance with site policies, reporting unusual activity and/or restricted items through proper channels.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.

+ Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help support orderly access, verify credentials when required, and follow established post orders and security-related procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, noting site conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.

+ Be 21+ years of age.

+ An armed guard card/license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
