Position
Job Title: Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 4 Cellular Network Field Engineer
Apprenticeship Duration: 36 months
Location: Tavistock PL19 – national travel may be required.
Working Hours: Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm; weekend and out‑of‑hours work may be required depending on project needs.
Salary: £10.50 per hour

As an Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer/Rigger, you’ll work as part of an experienced field team delivering projects across the UK. The role is hands‑on, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a team on nationwide telecoms projects
- Assist with installation and rigging works on telecoms sites
- Adapt to changing site conditions and last‑minute changes
- Identify and help solve on‑site challenges
- Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship
- Work safely at height and use fall‑arrest equipment
- Understand telecoms rigging and antenna systems
- Basic electrical principles, testing, and certification
- Health & Safety, RF awareness, and first aid at height
- Read and follow technical drawings
- Quality assurance and environmental awareness
- Teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
- Hardworking, reliable, and conscientious attitude
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly
- Comfortable working at height
- Willingness to work away from home when required
- Previous hands‑on or site‑based experience is an advantage, but not essential
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Grade A*-C / 4 or higher in GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
